The classic Commander Keen platformer games for the PC, published by Apogee and later id software, starting with the "Invasion of the Vorticons" trilogy (1990).

Dopefish

Dopefish, a character from Commander Keen IV, is "the second dumbest creature in the universe". It became a sort of mascot for Apogee Games, and inspired fans to write their own games featuring it.
