This category contains websites which allow online shopping for, and purchasing of, expendables for the entertainment industry. Sites submitted to this category should have a definite entertainment industry focus. For expendables sites that do not offer online sales, please see Business: Industries: Arts and Entertainment: Equipment: Expendables.
In the entertainment industry, expendables are supplies used up in the daily course of business. Many of these supplies, such as fog fluid and gobos, are unique to the entertainment industry. Others, like tape, film and batteries, are not.
This category contains sites which sell fireworks online. For the time being this includes both professional and consumer fireworks, firecrackers and related products.
Fireworks are colorful explosives designed to be launched and detonated in air for entertainment purposes. The largest are designed for use by licensed professionals only. There are also small fireworks available to consumers. Safety is an important consideration when working with any fireworks.
This category contains sites which do online sales of professional lighting equipment for the entertainment industry. This includes lighting for stage, studio, and special effects.

For entertainment industry lighting sites which do not have online sales, find the appropriate subcategory of Business: Industries: Arts and Entertainment: Equipment: Lighting.

Consumer lighting does not belong in this category. For that, see Shopping: Office Products: Furniture: Lighting or Shopping: Home and Garden: Electrical: Lighting.

The lighting equipment used in the entertainment industry is quite different from that used in consumer or commercial settings.

Theatrical lighting is very high wattage, typically 500 to 2000 watts per lamp and considerably higher for spotlights and searchlights. It requires special dimmers and transformers when used in quantity as on a typical stage.

There are also some kinds of low-wattage lights used in the entertainment industry and nowhere else, for example disco lighting and lighting special effects.
