This category is intended to highlight community projects rather than individual embroiderers working in community centres on their own projects.
Community Embroidery is a project worked by many people for their community and others to enjoy.
Please submit sites which feature needlework techniques originating in Japan including (but not limited to) bunka work, traditional ornamental embroidery with silk, the art of temari or sashiko.
Several forms of stitching are native to the country of Japan including temari, bunka work, sashiko and traditional silk embroidery on clothing.
Embroidery done with ribbons instead of thread.
