Danish composer and church musician Thomas Linnemann Laub (1852-1927) did much to restore plainsong and the chorale to Danish religious life. Dansk kirkesang is his most noted collection. As organist, he succeeded Gebauer at Copenhagen's Helligåndskirken and Gade at Holmens Kirke.
